Libya, like Yemen and Ukraine, has almost become the “forgotten war’ as corrupted western media outlets keep it off the radar and out of the public eye. Its all part of the order from chaos agenda. They’ll let you know what they want you to know and nothing more…….thus, I thought it was well beyond time to give folks a proper primer on what the U.S. and European powers have been supporting in Libya as that unfortunate country continues to spiral into conflict and chaos.
During 2016, Southfront Geopolitical Analysis has performed an excellent service by putting together some primer videos on western support for terrorists and a basic assessment of the Libyan war.
Geopolitical researcher and former US congressman (Head of Intelligence Committee) Peter Hoekstra has also compiled a lot of important info related to terrorists in Libya…..his “Investigative Project on Terrorism” site is a good resource for those looking to learn more about the connections between global terrorists and global and Deep State powers. It is very telling that the Obama administration spokeman Josh Earnest tried to denounce Hoekstra’s 2015 book.
ISIS Leader Moves to Libya
by Pete Hoekstra
February 16, 2016
The barbaric and elusive Chechen commander who recruited British executioner “Jihadi John” has moved to Sirte, Libya to assume control of ISIS operations in the terrorist organization’s metastasizing Mediterranean caliphate. The Investigative Project on Terrorism first learned about the movement of Abu Omar al-Shishani – among the world’s most-wanted terrorists – through its exclusive Middle East sources. Other news organizations later confirmed the account.
Al-Shishani is a former American-trained officer in the Georgian special forces. He developed a reputation for his ferocity and effectiveness while fighting against the Russians during the 2008 invasion of Georgia and later for ISIS against dictator Bashar al-Assad in Syria. He established his presence not long after arriving in former dictator Muammar Gaddafi’s hometown Sirte by ordering one execution and chopping the limbs off another individual.
Western intelligence officials believe that up to 6,500 ISIS fighters – twice the number previously thought – have relocated to Libya as a result of coalition airstrikes on ISIS in the Middle East and new difficulties entering Syria.
Libya’s emergence as an ideal location in which to foster its new caliphate arose after NATO assisted radical jihadists in killing Gaddafi in 2011 and abruptly abandoned the country. Left in its wake were two rival governments competing for power, which created space for Islamists to turn Libya into a cesspool of extremism.
ISIS’s new caliphate along the Mediterranean coastline reaches as close as 200 miles from the vulnerable southern border of Europe. It exploits Libya as a base to export weapons, jihadists and ideology to Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Benghazi and Derna have long been nests of radicalism. They provided more fighters per capita to Afghanistan and Iraq than nearly any other geographic area in the world. The difference between then and now is that Gaddafi kept the lid on the garbage can.
With al-Shishani hanging his hat in Sirte, Libya has become a safe haven for one of the most murderous leaders in the world today. The situation demonstrates the total failure of a Western foreign policy that “leads from behind.”
Pete Hoekstra is the Shillman Senior Fellow at the Investigative Project on Terrorism and the former Chairman of the U.S. House Intelligence Committee. He is the author of “Architects of Disaster: The Destruction of Libya.”
SouthFront covers more about ISIS being used as a ruse to carry out the global domination agenda of the western powers……
A large part of the Grand Chessboard is, of course, about control of the resources…….
Now Libya is destabilized, the excuse of pursuing terrorists allows western powers to expand influence down into sub-Saharan Africa as a ploy to ‘go after’ the terrorists they are in actuality aligned with…..

Hillary Clinton And The Funding Of Al-Qaeda Terrorists In Libya And Syria
Picking up where the Benghazi scandal left off, it cannot be stated often enough that Hillary Clinton, in her tenure as Secretary of State, was instrumental in helping to fund, organize, train, and direct al-Qaeda terrorist forces in Libya and Syria.
In regards to Libya, it was well known and even criticized by Libyan officials that Clinton’s State Department was actively funneling weaponry to “rebels” with “ties to al-Qaeda.” Of course, the “rebels” actually were al-Qaeda as the Libyan “rebellion” itself was nothing more than the use of proxy forces by the United States and NATO whose ranks were made up of terrorists, jihadists, and mercenaries. As the Washington Times reported in February, 2015
Libyan officials were deeply concerned in 2011, as Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was trying to remove Moammar Gadhafi from power, that weapons were being funneled to NATO-backed rebels with ties to al Qaeda, fearing that well-armed insurgents could create a safe haven for terrorists, according to secret intelligence reports obtained by The Washington Times.
The Libyan free Press site has more on what the NATO backed terrorists have done to people of darker skin color since the western destabilization and overthrow of Muamar Gaddafi:
Libyan “Rebels” Listed by US State Department as Terrorists – NATO leaders are guilty of providing material support to terrorists
Libyan Rebels Listed by US State Department as Terrorists – NATO leaders are guilty under US code of providing material support to terrorists.
by Tony Cartalucci
“Whoever knowingly provides material support or resources to a foreign terrorist organization, or attempts or conspires to do so, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 15 years, or both, and, if the death of any person results, shall be imprisoned for any term of years or for life. To violate this paragraph, a person must have knowledge that the organization is a designated terrorist organization (as defined in subsection (g)(6)), that the organization has engaged or engages in terrorist activity (as defined in section 212(a)(3)(B) of the Immigration and Nationality Act), or that the organization has engaged or engages in terrorism (as defined in section 140(d)(2) of the Foreign Relations Authorization Act, Fiscal Years 1988 and 1989).”-USC § 2339B. Providing material support or resources to designated foreign terrorist organizations
In March 2011, the London Telegraph reported that Libya’s rebels had direct ties to Al Qaeda and that both leaders and fighters had spent time in both Iraq and Afghanistan combating US troops. The article titled, “Libyan rebel commander admits his fighters have al-Qaeda links” featured Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, who had been captured by the US after fighting Americans in Afghanistan, returned to Libya, and released under a bargain for Hasidi and his Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) militants to abandon extremism and become productive members of society. Quite obviously, and with the US, UK, and NATO’s help, Hasidi and his men went back on this bargain and are now sowing murder and mayhem across Libya.
